Editions
CommunityTeamPro
Warren is one image with three editions. Without a licence it runs as Community; a licence key switches it to Team or Pro at runtime, without a restart. Each page of these docs says at the top which editions have the feature.
| Community | Team | Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Browse, search, replay, dry run, park, discard, purge, export, publish, audit log, keyboard | yes | yes | yes |
| Brokers | one, up to 3 of its vhosts | up to 3, any number of vhosts | unlimited |
| Roles viewer, operator, admin | every user is admin | yes | yes |
| History | the last hour | up to 7 days | up to 90 days |
| Alert rules and channels, replay rules, Prometheus | – | yes | yes |
| Single sign-on (OIDC) | – | – | yes |
| Four-eyes approval | – | – | yes |
| Audit export as CSV, forwarding to a SIEM, minimum retention | – | – | yes |
| Database | embedded | embedded | embedded or your own PostgreSQL |
Counting brokers
Limits count brokers, not cluster entries: entries that differ only in the vhost (same management URL) are one broker. Entries beyond the edition's limit stay configured but inactive, and the UI says how many.
Installing a licence
As admin, under Edition & licence, or by configuration: WARREN_LICENSE_KEY=WARREN-… or WARREN_LICENSE_FILE=/app/config/license.key. Keys are verified offline, also on air-gapped installations; nothing calls home. An expired key falls back to Community with a warning; nothing is deleted.
